The building, designed by Mary Townley, one of Britain’s pioneering female architects, once served as a residence for the Duchess of Kent and her daughter, Princess Victoria, who later became Queen Victoria, in 1835.

Lovingly restored by local owners Ben and Emma Irvine, its rich historical legacy has been honored in its modern redesign.
